Description of the Occurrence
A tropical depression formed by 12:00 UTC on June 11 while located about 150 mi (240 km) south-southeast of Salina Cruz, Mexico.
By 18:00 UTC on June 12, the tropical depression intensified into Tropical Storm Calvin. Intensifying slightly to reach winds of 45 mph (75 km/h), Calvin made landfall halfway between Salina Cruz and Puerto Ángel, around 00:00 UTC on June 13. Calvin dissipated into a remnant low, which brought heavy rainfall and some flooding in the area.
